OT was faced with the challenge of building a custom user experience from standard Android components. One that can be both noteworthy and subdued to achieve healthy and organic user acquisition without sacrificing user retention.

Julio was designed and developed, with Material Design at its core. OT designed a custom colour palette to work within any environmental context. The bright tones encapsulate its playful genre but a consistent guideline conveys a sense of reliability, and maturity - one that stands out to users but does not cause a jarring viewing experience after long periods of usage. OT employed clever use of elevation and micro-animations to allow for intuitive user interaction, and a seamless user experience.
